Description: Recording of a small jazz chamber ensemble led by Leon Breeden and consisting of Breeden, Tom Merriman, Joe Gustafeste, and Tommy Gwin on February 21, 1958. This cassette also contains a recording of the North Texas Lab Band performing for the U.S. State Department on February 25, 1966. Breeden can be heard speaking between tunes during the North Texas Lab Band performance.

Don Jacoby: Have Conns, Will Travel, 1958. Don Jacoby: Can't Get Started, 1958-59

Description: Recording of Leon Breeden's copy of the Don Jacoby album "Have Conns Will Travel!" and of a performance of Don Jacoby's "Can't Get Started." "Have Conns, Will Travel" is played in full. The Chicago Symphonic Band and a 17-piece dance band perform with Jacoby on "Have Conns Will Travel!" The commercial recording that "Can't Get Started" is from has not been identified. Breeden recorded these vinyl records to cassette, which is what is heard here.
