Description: The results of analysis of the initial data obtained on the Los Alamos National Laboratory salt-gradient solar pond, a 232 m/sup 2/ pond constructed for the primary purpose of studying pond hydrodynamics, are presented. Radiation transmission through a composite medium of glass and water

Description: Solar ponds have been shown to be a viable method of collecting solar energy. The most common type of solar pond is the salt gradient solar pond. Interest has also been shown in other types of ponds, such as a membrane stratified solar pond.
