Description: The work presented herein is a study of the effect of temperature on the absolute permeability to distilled water of unconsolidated sandstones at one confining pressure. The absolute permeability to distilled water of Ottawa silica sand was not dependent on the temperature level.

The effects of CO{sub 2} on steam adsorption

Description: Water adsorption in geothermal reservoir materials was investigated by transient flow technique using steam and COz gas. Hydrocarbon anomaly in soil gas as near-surface expressions of upflows and outflows in geothermal systems

Description: A variety of hydrocarbons, C<sub>1</sub> - C<sub>12</sub>, have been found in volcanic gases (fumarolic) and in geothermal waters and gases. The hydrocarbons are thought to have come from products of pyrolysis of kerogen in sedimentary rocks or they could be fed into the geothermal system by the recharging waters which may contain dissolved hydrocarbons or hydrocarbons extracted by the waters from the rocks. Constant-pressure measurement of steam-water relative permeability

Description: A series of steady-state experiments have established relative permeability curves for two-phase flow of water in a porous medium. These experiments have minimized uncertainty in pressure, heat loss, and saturation. Description: Turkey is classified among countries which have high geothermal energy potential. Geological and geophysical explorations are continuing in promising areas. However primary emphasis was given to Western Anatolia during the last decade. As a result of these efforts Kizildere field was developed and power plant was put into operation in February 14, 1984. Boiling radial flow in fractures of varying wall porosity

Description: The focus of this report is the coupling of conductive heat transfer and boiling convective heat transfer, with boiling flow in a rock fracture.
