Efficient computation of matched solutions of the KV envelope equations for periodic focusing lattices.

Description: A new iterative method is developed to numerically calculate the periodic, matched beam envelope solution of the coupled Kapchinskij-Vladimirskij (KV) equations describing the transverse evolution of a beam in a periodic, linear focusing lattice of arbitrary complexity. Optical Properties in Non-equilibrium Phase Transitions

Description: An open question about the dynamical behavior of materials is how phase transition occurs in highly non-equilibrium systems. One important class of study is the excitation of a solid by an ultrafast, intense laser. DETONATION PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS ON PETN
