Description: Interview with Russell Ellis, a Navy veteran, concerning his experiences aboard the merchant ships USS Santa Leonara, USS Jose Bonaficio, USS Daniel H. Hill, and the repair ship USS Amphion in the European Theater during World War II. North Atlantic convoys; German submarine and aircraft threats; personal observations of civilian conditions in England, Belgium, and France.

Description: Varsity-style bomber jacket of navy wool/linen blend with quilted sleeves of linen. Ribbed standing collar, cuffs and hem are navy with middle stripe of tan. Angled welt pockets at sides; ivory satin thread embroidered crest at left breast and large crest on back. Center front zipper closure with two slides. Lined in black synthetic.

Beaded coat

Description: Sweatsuit-inspired beaded bomber or sukajan jacket. Jacket is styled with ribbed standing collar, lower raglan sleeves and hem of gray fleece resembling a sweat jacket with main body of gold metallic fabric heavily beaded in iridescent green/blue and purple bugle and seed beads. Beading is of two phoenixes on left and right front sides and Chinese dragon on back. Center front zipper closure with two slides. Lined in black crepe.

Description: Blouse of pieced silk styled with shoulders of rust crepe silk, bottom half of sleeves of black silk; front side panels of white satin, and top of sleeves, back panel and center front trapezoidal panel of rust crepe embroidered in satin thread phoenix motif. Wide rounded neckline; short sleeves.

Description: A) Cropped top of purple viscose/silk blend crushed velvet. Fitted; sleeveless; halter top inspired bustline. Deep U-shaped neckline is trimmed with large applied roses of matching material. Center back zipper closure; lined in black synthetic. Size 38/6. Original sales tags attached. B) Pants of purple silk satin. Tapered leg; fly zipper closure with hook & bar and button on 1" waistband. Vertical double welt pockets at front sides. Unlined. Size 36/4. The full texts of about 4100 job adverts carrying the terms “knowledge manager” or “knowledge management” either in in the job title or in the short description have been analyzed. [Etching and engraving "David Tenier's House"]

Description: Etching and engraving of "David Tenier's House" published on August 15, 1757. The design was attribute to Dutch miniaturist David Eniers the Younger (1610-1690) and was printed by English printmaker Thomas Major (1720-1799). The image shows a large manor house on the right edge of a river bank with a bridge arching over the river. A group of three fisherman are gathered on the shore in the foreground communicating the scale of the rest of the scene to the viewer.

Description: Letter from Victor Lauderdale to his father on American YMCA Stationary, dated May 11, 1919. The letter is brief and informs his father of a letter he enclosed for his mother in celebration of mothers day despite her death with the sentiment "We were with her in life; even so in death we shall be with her." He goes on to mention a trip to Belgium that he is contemplating taking before he comes back to the states.
