SubString Bridge

Description: Recording of Åke Parmerud's SubString Bridge. This work was commissioned by the Swedish Institute for National Concerts for Mats Bergström. The idea behind this work is that of the guitar being a carrier for invisible but resounding "substrings". The composer describes the guitar's bridge, between invisible mechanics of substrings and visible actions of the performer, as acting like a computer that transforms and relays impulses.
