Description: Photograph of Oak Street Hall at North Texas State College. The east wing was the original part of the building, build in 1941-1942, as a two story, brick veneer apartment house erected by Mrs. W. J. McConnell. It was built to house one hundred women. A later addition increased the space and allowed another one hundred and twenty-five to be housed.

Circled in ink are the structures Bell Hall, Coke Hall, Culberson Hall, Hamilton Hall, Ireland Hall, Murrah Hall, Roberts Hall, Rose Hall, Throckmorton Hall, Runnells Hall, Cooks' Lounge and Toilets, and the Storage and Wash House.
