Hardening of transistor circuits to ionizing radiation

Description: It is shown experimentally that transistor circuits may have their fundamental sensitivities to ionizing radiation reduced by factors of ten by addition of a simple reverse biased diode. Bipolar transistors, field effect transistors and microcircuits have been hardened. (auth)

Production test IP-725, increased graphite temperature limit, F Reactor. Final report

Description: This report presents the results of a high graphite temperature test conducted at F Reactor from January, through June, 1965. Since the reactor was soon to be permanently shut down, this was believed to be a good opportunity to investigate the effect of increased graphite temperature on graphite stack oxidation with CO{sub 2}, During the first phase of the test, the graphite temperature limit was increased, from 650 C to 700 C for a period of approximately 3 1/2 months.
