K°LP Interactions at 550 MeV/c

Description: Differential and channel cross sections and hyperon polarizations are presented for the reactions K$sup 0$/sub L/p $Yields$ K$sup 0$/sub S/p, $pi$$sup +$ A$sup 0$, and $pi$$sup +$ $Sigma$$sup 0$ at an average beam momentum of 550 MeV/c. These data provide constraints on KN and anti KN amplitudes obtained from charged kaon reactions and reject one of the S = +1, I = 0 and one of the S equals -1, I = 1 phase shift solutions. (auth)

Study of Multi-body Charmless B Decays with the BaBar Experiment

Description: The authors report recent measurements of charmless B decays to the final states K{sup +}K{sup +}K{sup -}, {phi}{phi}K, {eta}'{eta}'K, M{sub S}{sup 0}K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sub L}{sup 0}, {bar {Lambda}}p{pi}{sup +}, K*{sup +}h{sup +}h{sup -} and KX(inclusive). The results were obtained using a data sample of up to 288.5 fb{sup -1} recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric B factory at SLAC.

$lambda$$sup 0$ inclusive production in $Sigma$$sup -$-nucleus reactions

Description: A counter spark chamber experiment was done in the AGS 23- GeV/c charged hyperon beam to study $lambda$$sup 0$ inclusive production in reactions of $Sigma$$sup -$ on Al, Cu, W, and Pb. Preliminary results are reported on the missing mass spectra in the reaction $Sigma$$sup -$ + Nucleon $Yields$ $lambda$$sup 0$ + M$sup 2$/sub x/. The data are compared with the relevant triple Regge formalism. (auth)

Observation of the decay B0bar -> LambdaC antiproton pi0

Description: In a sample of 467 million B{bar B} pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II collider at SLAC we have observed the decay {bar B}{sup 0} {yields} {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +}{bar p}{pi}{sup 0} and measured the branching fraction to be (1.94 {+-} 0.17 {+-} 0.14 {+-} 0.50) x 10{sup -4}, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and the uncertainty on the {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +} {yields} pK{sup -}{pi}{sup +} branching fraction, respectively. Proposal to Study Multibody Final States in pp Collisions at 200 GeV/c Using the NAL 15-Foot Bubble Chamber

Description: We propose to expose the NAL 15-foot hydrogen bubble chamber to 200 GeV protons. We intend to take 20,000 pictures. Multiparticle final states will be studied by measuring the momenta of all charged final state particles with the exception of a few very fast tracks where at least the charge and the emission angle of the particle will be determined. Scattering of K<sup>+</sup> Mesons Off Protons

Description: The total K/sup +/-p cross section was measured at the three K/sup +/- meson energies 175 er inch per 25, 225 er inch per 25, and 275 er inch per 25 Mev and the differential scattering cross section was measured at 225 Mev. The K/sup +/-p nuclear force was shown to be repulsive from the observed constructive interference with Coulomb scattering. Quasi-elastic neutrino reactions: form factors

Description: The experimental situation on two-body neutrino reactions is summarized. The interactions nu + n -- mu /sup -/ + p, J + p yields mu + lambda , and nu + p yields mu /sup -/ + DELTA /sup ++/.
