He is considered to be the first ever to publish Burushaski poetry. He is also one of the few who devised Perso-Arabic based alphabets to write Burushaski. His Burushaski-Urdu Dictionary was published posthumously by the Burushaski Research Academy (BRA) - The NGO that he had founded. He is also known as "Baba-e-Burushaski" (the father of (Hunza) Burushaski).
