Matilda hopes they are doing well and mentions that the reason why she did not respond was because Dinkie said she was going to. Abe and Bettie went up there and they have been having cold weather. There has been a lot of pneumonia and deaths, Tommie Dobbins, Smith Neal and Billy Moore died. Nothing has grown in Dodd's county. She recieved a letter from Emily Trent asking about George and Willy Bratney and asks if they have heard from them. She asks that they write soon.
