Description: Mantripukhri, was a pond made after Lamkang Thamsul for performing ritual for the Meitei king to have a baby and when the king had baby he came to look for him but the families thought that the king is looking for him to kill him so when they asked the family they answered he went ‘Panthaba chet khre” and they thought it was the name of the village so that is how the village Mantripantha was named after.
