Description: Interview with community activist Linnie McAdams from Denton, Texas. In the interview, McAdams discusses her experiences concerning the activities of the Denton Christian Women's Inter-Racial Fellowship in the 1960s and 1970s. She also discusses what it was like growing up in a racist community, and includes memories concerning her personal educational experiences in segregated schools, the living conditions in the African-American section of Denton, and her personal employment experiences. McAdams recalls the desegregation of public schools, housing, and facilities as well as the integration of churches.
