[Persons who do their own thinking]

Description: Letter from Charles Moore to the author of a book he had just read in which he says persons who do their own thinking are cranks. He discusses his thoughts on marriage and family. At the time of his marriage he found a woman who would fit his bill and proposed marriage to her as a partnership. Love was never mentioned. He expresses regret that his family name will die out with him. He admires the good wife who can tolerate the "crankyness" of an erratic man. Chambersville, Texas is written on the back.
