Description: An article written by Thomas Dodson, staff writer for the North Texas Daily, titled "High honors School of Visual Arts named among top schools in North America." North Texas' School of Visual Arts was recognized as one of the top art education graduate programs in North America. The study was conduced by Stanford University and Florida State University, who studied the critiqued graduate level art education in the United States, out of 124 universities, NT was ranked at 13. Dr. Jack Davis, dean of the school of visual arts said that this exposes them nationally in the field of art.

Description: Photocopy of a letter from an unidentified writer to Connie Newton. In regards to Jeff Patchen speaking at the Young Audiences conference in Dallas. Davis is planning on sharing Jericho's letter to the David Sharder, Dean of the College of Music as he might have an interested in Patchen speaking with the music faculty.

Description: Photocopy of a letter from Jack Davis, Dean of the School of Visual Arts, to David Kesterson, Vice Provost for the University of North Texas. To request more space for North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts by wanting access to Rooms 305 & 303 B in Marquis Hall, UNT. Davis understands that the need for space is great, but NTIEVA has proven themselves to be a viable operation with consistent external funding for its program, along with a major outreach for UNT. Davis writes that in the last five years the Institute has generated more than 1,400,000 in grant funds and has only grown more steadily with each passing year. Thus with the expansion of the program, Davis requests more space to continue their operations as their previous space has become overly crowded.
