Roman copy of Greek Aphrodite Genetrix

Dancing Faun from the House of the Faun, Pompeii

Description: The frontal view of the nude dancing figure reveals upraised arms, one higher than the other and the weight is on one foot placed in front of the other. The patina on the sculpture is a blackish and dark green. The hair on the male figure consists of loose curls and the figure is fully bearded.

Dancing Faun from the House of the Faun, Pompeii

Description: This view from the left of the dancing nude male figure shows the head in near profile with its loose curls and full-beard. The figures arms are upraised and one foot is in front of the other. The patina is a blackish dark green. The torso is slightly twisted and the musculature of the body is defined.
