Hat

Description: Hat of light-colored straw. Domed crown is surmounted by small sphere of woven straw, and is canted back slightly. Around the base of the crown is a wide band of two layers of white grosgrain ribbon which have extending ends at side. The "snap brim" is slanted downwards at front, but turned up at sides and back. Description: Purse of metallic gold floral brocade of small blossoms in pink, purple, blue, cream, and green in accordion style. Single handle of matching brocade with gold shell-inspired attachments. Hidden snap closure under flip top (broken). Lined in yellow satin; zipper pocket on front face and three slip pockets on back face. Includes single-sided pentagon-shaped mirror and coin purse of yellow satin matching lining with gold tone ball twist closure. Maker's stamp: Rosart
