Headpiece

Description: Headpiece of black net/veiling, black velvet ribbon, and off-white crocheted flowers. The headpiece is formed of five radiating thin black velvet ribbons forming the arms of a star, overlaid on wide circle of fine black net veiling. At center crossing point, and at end of each arm is affixed an off-white crocheted/lace flowerhead of 5 petals. No labels.

Felt hat

Description: Hat of beige fur felt. The shaped crown is somewhat rounded, with a peak at front and a deep fold running from the peak towards the back right of the crown. At back, the crown is cut to form an inverted "sweetheart" line, while at front it curves forward and up slightly to form a small brim/visor effect. At top of crown behind the peak is a hatpin with a feather spray of brown and white feathers. Unlined; dark brown grosgrain ribbon headband. Designer's label: J. Description: Calotte of white straw styled as a flower. Covered with three layers of ivory silk and velvet flower pedals; top trimmed with silk threads and beads to create the anthers and filaments of the stamen of the flower with circular velvet center.
