Changes in Morale in a Southern Baptist Sunday School Faculty

Description: The attitude of the church school teacher must be improved, and this is the primary purpose of this paper. An attempt was made to study scientifically teacher attitudes as measured by an adaptation of the Purdue Teacher Opinionaire administered to a systematically observed sample chosen from three church school faculties in the three Southern Baptist Churches in Denton, Texas.

Decision making and teacher morale in selected elementary schools in north Texas: an exploratory study

Description: The purpose of this study was to determine whether elementary teacher morale is related to teacher freedom to make decisions and give input into their work and work environment. Additionally, the study attempted to determine whether teacher decision making freedom varies with age, gender, number of degrees, years of experience, or special teaching assignment.

The Relationships between Teacher Morale and the Ability to Establish Rapport with Pupils and Other Selected Variables

Description: The problem of this study was to determine and analyze the relationships between teacher morale as determined by the Group Dimensions Descriptions Questionnaire and the ability to establish rapport with pupils as determined by the Minnesota Teacher Attitude Inventory. The purpose of this study was to discover possible implications from the relationships between teacher morale and the ability to establish rapport with pupils and other selected personal and professional characteristics.

A Study of the Relationships Between Leader Behavior of Private Secondary School Principals and Teacher Morale in Bangkok, Thailand

Description: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between principals' leader behavior and teacher morale in the private secondary schools of Bangkok, Thailand. This study also determined whether significant relationships based upon the factors of age, sex, educational level, years of teaching experience, salary, and size of school existed between the morale of teachers and their perceptions of the principals' leader behavior. The sample of the study was comprised of 400 teachers in private"secondary schools in Bangkok, Thailand. Each teacher was asked to complete the Purdue Teacher Opinionaire (PTO), an instrument designed an instrument designed to identify a principal's leader behavior which consists of two dimensions: initiating structure and consideration. Of the 400 returned questionnaires, 399 were usable. The statistical treatments applied to the data thus obtained included the Pearson product moment, Multiple regression, and Canonical correlation. A .05 level of significance was the criterion for accepting or rejecting each hypothesis.
