Skirt Suit

Description: Woman's suit of brown wool gabardine. a) Single breasted, jacket with rectangle motif carried throughout. Convertible collar with 3" points, and one under collar stop 2" from CF as shoulder yoke extends in a 2" wide rectangle parallel to collar edge. Shoulder yoke also extends to self-face the jacket, creating a 1"x 3" rectangle on the underside of the first bound button hold and button. There are 4 brown buttons with three narrow bound button holes, the second button falling at bottom of rectangle yoke as a inseam button. Pair of double welt slit pockets below shoulder within a rectangle of opposite grain within the larger rectangle in same grain as welt lips, with rectangle design lines extending over sleeve and top of it slip-stitched to mid-arm scythe. Two parallel princess seams starting from lower rectangle yoke and front under arm seam run under 8" over-sized pocket flap, narrow to define width of 4" slit pocket. Over-sized bias pocket flap is 8" x 4" with 1 1/2" x 7" vertically center rectangle insert of opposite bias grain both starting from side seam. Full length set in sleeves with one elbow dart at each under seam. At right sleeve's forearm starts a rectangle welt insert attached til 1 3/4" above cuff, where it floats above sleeve and continues as its own shape to cuff's edge and folds back 1" basted to itself. Lined in copper crepe silk. Designer's label at inside back neckline: "Adrian / in /British Samek Material" b) A-line skirt of matching fabric. One inch folded waistband with triangular tab at lapped left side zipper with snap at tip and 4 sets of hook & eyes on waistband. Two 4" darts on front and two 7" darts on back. Unlined with pinked seam edges.

Skirt Suit

Description: Skirt suit of blue/grey wool consisting of: A) Jacket of navy wool. Jacket has 3/4 sleeves, slash pockets with button trim and welt buttonhole; wide shoulders; nipped-in waist; intricate inset back detail; half belt crisscross in back with button and welt buttonhole. Lined in navy silk. Designer's label at inside back collar: "Adrian / in / British Samek Material" B) Skirt of same fabric. Mid-calf length; small back kick pleat at hem. Zipper closure. Unlined.

Ensemble - Jacket, Skirt and Blouse

Description: Suit in hot pink nubbly wool knit. The ensemble consists of three pieces: a jacket, matching skirt, and black silk shell. The jacket is hip-length, with a shawl collar which has an attached black silk tie. The center front closure has 6 circular brass buttons with central embossed lion's heads and black outer edges. There are four faux flap pockets at front, two on each side of opening, each with button matching those of the closure. The long sleeves have simulated closure, with a line of three buttons matching others on each sleeve. The pocket flaps, cuffs, collar, center front, and hem are all edged in black. Designer's label sewn inside jacket at collar: "Adolfo / New York", with retailer's label sewn in just below: "Neiman-Marcus". The matching skirt is below-knee length, of the same pink wool knit, with pleating beginning 7" below waistband and extending to hem. Skirt has designer's label sewn inside at waistband as jacket. The accompanying black silk blouse is sleeveless, with rounded neckline. Single black silk -covered button closure at back of neck. Shell has designer's label sewn inside at left of closure as jacket.

Skirt Suit

Description: Skirt suit. A) Jacket of black boucle wool. Long, set-in sleeves with hem edged in black satin. Turn-back collar, black satin revers. Four front patch pockets with flaps trimmed in black satin and one circular black satin-covered button on each pocket. Lined in black silk satin. Combined designer's/retailer's label at inside back collar: "Neiman-Marcus Dallas / Traina-Norell" B) Blouse of black satin. Piped around jewel neckline and sleeveless armholes. 2" waistband ties at left side. Zipper closure from hem partway up left side. Center back opening with 2 hook & loops. Unlined. Six elastic loops around hem to attach to skirt. No labels in blouse. C) Skirt of black boucle wool. Mid-length; 4 gored with two zippers at waist creating a "front flap" which also secures with two tabs at waistband, each tab secured with two hook-and-eyes. Four buttons at waistband which secure to loops on hem of blouse. Lined in black silk. No labels found in skirt.

Skirt Suit

Description: Skirt suit of navy blue double knit wool. a) Jacket of navy blue double knit wool. Shawl collar, full-length sleeves with functioning button on each sleeve. Center front opening which secures with attached 3" belt of self with two matching buttons. Four front patch pockets, each securing with single matching button. All buttons are smooth, circular mother-of-pearl buttons set in gold tone mounts and all buttonholes are bound. Cream silk(?) lining. Designer's label at inside left: "Norell" Retailer's label at inside back collar: "Nan Duskin / Philadelphia" b) Skirt of same material. 3/4 length. A-line which gathers slightly into 2-1/2" wide waistband. Left side zipper with hook-and-loop at waistband. Lined in dark blue nylon(?). Combined Designer's/Retailer's label sewn to inside of outer layer of skirt, hidden beneath lining layer: "Norman Norell for Nan Duskin" Maker's label, handwritten cream ribbon, sewn inside lining: "3055 - 711 - 14 - 136"

Description: Three-piece ensemble of pink polyester/rayon lamé. A) Jacket. Notched collar with deep lapel. Shaped waist. Single button closure with loop; button is pink plastic with central metal and rhinestone cluster. Long suit sleeves with single matching button at each cuff. Two inset pockets at sides, only one partly opened. Lined in red polyester; shoulder pads. Label at inside back collar: "Mackie / by / Bob Mackie" On back of this label is hand-written tag "Robert Black". Left seam: "Bob Mackie / 91 % polyester / 9% rayon / Dry Clean Only / Made in USA / Size: 6". Note on back in handwriting: "Robert Black". B) Skirt. No waistband. Mid-length; straight style. Inner slip attached at waistband of same fabric. Side closure with 6" hidden zipper. Handwritten labels: "Robert Black" C) Camisole style blouse with spaghetti straps. Zipper closure at left side running almost entire length. Hem comes to points at center front and back. Same labels as jacket. Lined in same material.

Description: Suit of Kelly green wool twill. A) Box style jacket has princess seams. Four square white buttons at center front opening with tailored buttonholes; 2 matching buttons at cuffs. Bracelet length sleeves. Outside edges along collar, center front, hem and cuffs trimmed with white fabric 3/4" wide. White trimmed flap pockets at hips. White trim detail on front bodice area on each side in an L-shape on the left side and reversed L-shape on the right. Unlined; shoulder pads. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Bill Blass" Fiber content, cleaning instructions and size "10" tags sewn to base of designer label. B) Skirt of same. Knee length. Four darts at front and back; faced waist. Center back opening with invisible zipper; 7" vent at center back. Unlined; petersham of green grosgrain ribbon with hook & eye. Description: Ensemble of black polyester bias cut fabric consisting of 2 pieces. A) Jacket. Black knit polyester with mandarin collar, full-length zipper, fitted waist formed of strips of fabric seamed for fit. Long sleeves, which start at collar. Narrow belt 3/4" wide at base of collar with buckle and grommet eyelets in silver/chrome. At hem are two decorative belts with large silver buckles and eyelets. Zipper with large tongue of silver with inlaid black enamel. Lined with black polyester. Single label at inside back of neck: "Mugler". Evidence of removed label at side seam. B) Skirt of same material, knee-length, straight, fastened at back with two large silver studs on outside and 8" zipper. Lined in black polyester, attached at waistband. Label: "Mugler". Description: Two-piece suit of brown, yellow, olive green and off-white plaid wool twill. a) Semi-fitted jacket of plaid wool. Notched collar and lapel. Bracelet length, two piece, set in sleeves. Double breasted front opening with six round, plastic, olive buttons and three bound buttonholes. One button closure hidden inside lap. Pair of faux pocket flaps on front below waist. Back has a low-slung, self-fabric belt buttoned on at princess seams. Fully lined in ecru silk. Handwritten maker's label at bottom left hem: "Sra : De / Osborne / 964" Handwritten maker's label above previous label: "7" b) Matching knee length, princess paneled skirt with rolled waistband of lining fabric. In-seam pockets at front princess seams. Deep box pleat at center front releases at hip level. Offset left side back zipper closure supplemented by two hook and eye closures at waistband. Folded hem. Fully lined in ecru silk with white silk faille waist support lightly boned with two hook and eye closures.
