Musical Chairs: Rostering Break of Reality

Description: This case examines the rostering system developed by Break of Reality, a cross-genre chamber quartet. The group’s two co-founders are core members of the organization while the other two seats rotate among seven independent contractors. The advantages and drawbacks of Break of Reality’s roster system form the substance of the case.
