Haves, Halves, and Have-Nots: School Libraries and Student Achievement in California

Biological Conversion of Synthesis Gas

Description: Overall mass transfer coefficients for CO have been determined in a continuous stirred-tank reactor at agitation rates of 300--700 rpm using a biological system with the photosynthetic bacterium Rhodospirillum rubrum. A non-steady state approach was employed in order to separate mass transfer and kinetic limited regions of the fermentation.
