NJOY nuclear data processing system. Volume IV. The ERRORR and COVR modules

Description: The NJOY nuclear data processing system is a comprehensive computer code package for producing cross sections and related nuclear parameters from ENDF/B evaluated nuclear data. This volume provides detailed descriptions of the NJOY modules ERRORR and COVR, which are concerned with the covariances (uncertainties and correlations) of multigroup cross sections and fission neutron yield (anti nu) values. 17 refs.

Annotated bibliography covering generation and use of evaluated cross section uncertainty files

Description: Literature references related to definition, generation, and use of evaluated cross section uncertainty (variance-covariance) files are listed with comments intended primarily to guide the reader toward materials of immediate interest. Papers are also cited that cover covariance information for individual experiments and that relate to production and use of multigroup covariance matrices. Titles are divided among several major categories.

218-group neutron cross-section library in the AMPX master interface format for criticality safety studies

Description: A P/sub 3/, 218 neutron group cross-section library in the AMPX master interface format has been generated from ENDF/B-IV data for 65 nuclides of primary interest in criticality safety calculations. The library was generated with the AMPX modular code system. Procedures used to generate the cross sections and the organization of the library are described.

E Division activities report, FY 1976

Description: Some of the activities in E (Experimental Physics) Division are described. E Division carries out basic and applied research in atomic and nuclear physics as well as in material and biomedical sciences, centered around the Laboratory's four major accelerators. Experiments are grouped under the headings of neutron, photon, and charged-particle interactions. Investigations in this past year involved fission cross sections, nuclear reactions with neutrons, charged particles and gamma rays, in… more

GAMMON activation library

Description: The GAMMON activation library is specifically designed for fusion reaction application, but is also adequate for many other design studies. The library contains multigroup cross sections (in 100 energy groups) for 420 neutron-induced reactions, multigroup gamma-ray spectra (in 25 energy groups) for 107 unique daughter products, maximum permissible concentrations (MPC's) for 200 reaction products, and absorbable decay energy (sensible heat) for 85 products. 3 tables.
