Preliminary Results of the Echo-Seeding Experiment at SLAC

Description: ECHO-7 is a proof-of-principle echo-enabled harmonic generation FEL experiment in the Next Linear Collider Test Accelerator (NLCTA) at SLAC. The experiment aims to generate coherent radiation at 318 nm and 227 nm, which are the 5th and 7th harmonic of the infrared seed laser. In this paper we present the preliminary results from the commissioning run of the completed experimental setup which started in April 2010.

Spin-echo resolved grazing incidence scattering (ESRGIS) of cold neutrons.

Description: The conceptual design of a new instrument is presented, which makes use of the spin echo technique to analyze the scattering angle of neutrons impinging upon a rough or corrugated surface at grazing incidence. Probing spatial correlations in the inhomogeneous glassy state of the cuprates by Cu NMR.

Description: We discuss the crossover of the form of the Cu NMR spin echo decay at the onset of Cu wipeout in lanthanum cuprates. Experimentally, the echo decay undergoes a crossover from Gaussian to exponential form below the temperature where the Cu NMR intensity drops. Investigation of Sodium Distribution in Phosphate Glasses Using Spin-Echo {sup 23}Na NMR

Description: The spatial arrangement of sodium cations for a series of sodium phosphate glasses, xNa{sub 2}O(100-x)P{sub 2}O{sub 5} (x<55), were investigated using {sup 23}Na spin-echo NMR spectroscopy. The spin-echo decay rate is a function of the Na-Na homonuclear dipolar coupling and is related to the spatial proximity of neighboring Na nuclei.
