Streetscapes-Matera

Description: Recording of Pekka Siren and Agnieszka Waligorska's Streetscapes-Matera. This work takes recordings of everyday life and add sounding provocations, including: train, elephants, jungle birds, Eskimos and laughing children, and a barking dog quartet. This imaginary mix was played in the streets with multiple speakers and recorded with peoples reactions. The final recording is a large demonstration of sounds mixing reality and imagination onto a canvas of sounds given back to the people.

The medium is the matter

Description: Recording of Hans Poort's "The medium is the matter." The music is made of repeated results of electronic sound circuits, presented as dynamic musical processes. By teaching on tape, the material aspect of the "here and now" of poetry, both music and words are emphasized. Poort attempted to keep the time and space of the present sound - poetry and music - by leaving both of them autonomous.

Description: Recording of Henri Chopin's L'agrippe des droits. One male voice reads the poem which is then electronically processed. Written for Christian Clozier. Les Vusions

Description: Recording of Ulrich Süsse's Les Vusions. Rabelais' ideologies and visions are musically represented in this piece. This is done by building structures and walking away from them. The structures are taken from the sound (preferably from a precise vocal) and the continuation of the language of Rabelais. There is the use of everyday normal objects, but the technique of electronic transformation demonstrate direction and transition.
