Carbon Diffusion in the Group IVB and VB Transition Element Monocarbides

Description: New data were summarized for the diffusion of carbon in titanium, zirconium, hafnium, vanadium, niobium, and tantalum monocarbides which were measured over temperature ranges overlapping between 1700 to 3000 degrees Celsius.

General survey of applications which require actinide nuclear data

Description: The actinide waste problem, the buildup of toxic isotopes in the fuel, the neutron activity associated with irradiated fuel, the $sup 252$Cf buildup problem, and the production of radioisotope power sources as broad areas that require actinide cross-section data are reviewed.
