Description: The first generation of TCAP hydrogen isotope separation process has been in service for tritium separation at the Savannah River Site since 1994. Directional Stand-off Detection of Fast Neutrons and Gammas Using Angular Scattering Distributions

Description: We have investigated the response of a DoubleScatter Neutron Spectrometer (DSNS) for sources at long distances (gr than 200 meters). We find that an alternative method for analyzing double scatter data avoids some uncertainties introduced by amplitude measurements in plastic scintillators.Time of flight is used to discriminate between gamma and neutron events, and the kinematic distributions of scattering angles are assumed to apply. NSLS-II Lattice Optimization with Damping Wigglers

Description: NSLS-II, the third-generation light source which will be built at BNL is designed and optimized for 3 GeV energy, ultra-small emittance and high intensity of 500 mA. It will provide very bright synchrotron radiation over a large spectral range from IR to hard X-rays. Damping wigglers (DWs) are deployed to reduce the emittance of 2 nm by factors of 2-4, as well as for intense radiation sources for users. Description: We present the first results from a long (496 ks) Chandra High Energy Transmission Grating observation of the intermediate polar EX Hydrae. Production of ra225 Precursor for ac225/bi213 Generators. Final Crada Report.

Description: Russian subcontractors shipped two small deliveries of Ra225 to PNNL for evaluation. The activity was close to the requisite amount in the subcontract. The first labeled properly; the second did not. This showed that the Russians could supply Ra225 to the US; however they proved unable to meet future demands for larger amounts of activity. The US DOE attempts to get Ra225 from Russian should be terminated; the Russians, under Rosatom, are not interested in this business.

Description: Effects of beta (tritium) and gamma irradiation on the surface electrical conductivity of two types of conducting polymer films are documented to determine their potential use as a sensing and surveillance device for the tritium facility.
