Description: Remote Fiber Fluorimetry (RFF) is being developed at Savannah River Laboratory for the on-line determination of uranium in plant process streams. System for unattended surveillance of nuclear reactor behavior

Description: A multivariate statistical pattern recognition system for reactor noise analysis is presented. Simultaneous analysis of uranium and nitrate

Description: A direct spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of 20 to 200 g/l of uranium in the presence of 3 to 5 M nitric acid. A dual-wavelength analysis is used to eliminate the enhancing effect of nitrate ion on the uranium visible spectra. Determination of gold--copper alloy composition by x-ray fluorescence analysis. Final report. [In-process analysis of electroplate]

Description: A method for in-process determination of the composition of electroplated gold-copper alloys using x-ray fluorescence analysis has been developed. A source-excited, non-dispersive x-ray fluorescence analyzer was procured and developed for this purpose. Moving head disc operating system on an 854A automatic network analyzer

Description: The increased work load on the 8542A Automatic Network Analyzer revealed a need for a more efficient and flexible system to support measurement as well as software development projects. A search for such a system resulted in the choice of the moving head disc operating system (DOS-M). Gas-phase UF/sub 6/ enrichment monitor for enrichment plant safeguards

Description: An in-line enrichment monitor is being developed to provide real-time enrichment data for the gas-phase UF/sub 6/ feed stream of an enrichment plant. On-line extraction efficiency analyses for the Los Alamos free-electron laser

Description: The on-line extraction efficiency analysis procedures for the Los Alamos Free-Electron Laser are described. The analyses are based on the measurement of the electron beam's energy spectron as a function of time under lasing and nonlasing conditions. In the nongraphic, tuneup mode the procedure takes about six seconds, so at a 1 Hz repetition rate for the laser we can analyse one out of every six shots.
