Quality assurance plan, Westinghouse Nuclear Energy Systems Divisions

Description: The Quality Assurance Plan used by Westinghouse Nuclear Energy Systems Water Reactor Divisions is described. The purpose of the program is to assure that the design, materials, and workmanship on Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) equipment meet applicable safety requirements, fulfill the requirements of the contracts with the applicants, and satisfy the applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. This document replaces the contents of Chapter 17 Safety Analysis Reports, except for any special or unique requirements. (auth)

Quarterly operating report. Fourth quarter 1974

Description: During the fourth quarter of 1974, the Shippingport Atomic Power Station was shutdown for PWR/LWBR (Pressurized Water Reactor/Light Water Breeder Reactor) Core Conversion. On December 26 while performing a cooldown, following a heat-up test, on operational incident occurred during which the cooldown rate exceeded the 10$sup 0$F/hour allowable limit. A cooldown rate of 13$sup 0$F to 14$sup 0$F/ hour was experienced for a two hour period. After an evaluation of this incident, it was concluded that no deleterious effects to the primary coolant system occurred. Defueling operations continued during the fourth quarter. (auth)

Experiment data report for 1-1/2-loop semiscale system isothermal Test 1011

Description: Recorded test data are presented for Test 1011 of the isothermal portion of the Semiscale Blowdown and Emergency Core Cooling (ECC) Project. The data represent the results of a test in the isothermal test series in which a break nozzle area 80% that of other test configurations was used with no simulated ECC injection. The data, presented in the form of graphs in engineering units, have been analyzed only to the extent necessary to assure that they are reasonable and correct. Uninterpreted data from Test 1011 for use by others and for support of subsequent interpretive reports and analyses are presented. (auth)

Experiment data report for 1-1/2-loop semiscale system isothermal tests 1008 and 1010

Description: Recorded test data are presented for Tests 1008 and 1010 of the isothermal portion of the Semiscale Blowdown and Emergency Core Cooling (ECC) Project. These data represent the results of the first isothermal tests utilizing an enlarged downcomer gap (1.0 inch) in the pressure vessel to investigate general system hydraulic response both with and without simulated ECC injection. The data, presented in the form of composite graphs in engineering units, have been analyzed only to the extent necessary to assume that they are reasonable and correct. (auth)
