Mercury emissions from municipal solid waste combustors. An assessment of the current situation in the United States and forecast of future emissions

Description: This report examines emissions of mercury (Hg) from municipal solid waste (MSW) combustion in the United States (US). It is projected that total annual nationwide MSW combustor emissions of mercury could decrease from about 97 tonnes (1989 baseline uncontrolled emissions) to less than about 4 tonnes in the year 2000.
