Description: Photograph of the assembly line at Bell Helicopter. On the back is written: "Photo 273305. The newest member of the U.S. Army's air mobile force, the OH-58A light observation helicopter, rolls down the assembly line at Textron's Bell Helicopter company in Fort Worth, Texas. The first of 2,200 OH-58A's was delivered to the Army Friday (May 23). Accepting the five-place, turbine-powered helicopter which is named the "Kioa," was Maj. Gen. John Norton, commanding general of the U.S. Army Aviation Systems Command in St. Louis. Deliveries will continue through mid-1972. Description: A letter from Hamilton K. Redway in Washington D.C. to his wife, Loriette Redway, on November 2, 1865. In the letter, Hamilton Redway tells his wife that he has passed the examining board and is awaiting appointment with the army. Redway mentions that people are anxiously awaiting the sitting of Congress. Also included with this item is the envelope in which the letter was sent. The envelope is addressed to Mrs. H. K. Redway in Mannsville, New York.

Text: "Army Regulations, Par. 1031.--Affidavits or depositions may be taken before any officer in the list as follows, when recourse cannot be had to any before named on said list, which fact shall be certified by the officer offering the evidence: 1st, a civil magistrate competent to administer oaths; 2d, a judge advocate; 3d, the recorder of a garrison or regimental court martial; 4th, the adjutant of a regiment; 5th a commissioned officer."
