Thermodynamic properties of uranium--mercury system

The EMF values in the fused salt cells of the type U(..cap alpha..)/KCl--LiCl--BaCl/sub 2/ eutectic, UCl/sub 3//U--Hg alloy, for the different two-phase alloys in the uranium--mercury system have been measured and the thermodynamic properties of this system have been calculated. These calculated values are in good agreement with values based on mercury vapor pressure measurements made by previous investigators.
