RESFEN: A residential fenestration performance design tool

Description: This paper describes the development of a prototype PC-based computer program called RESFEN. The program calculates the heating and cooling energy performance and costs of residential fenestration systems. A tritium-compatible piezoelectric valve for the tokamak fusion test reactor

Description: This work describes modifications made to a commercial piezoelectric valve to make it sufficiently tritium compatible for the TFTR trritium injection scenario. The results of testing the valve for leakage and performance following a series of progressively more severe tritium exposures are also presented. Economy of a retrofit solar system

Description: A privately financed solar-augmented hot water system has been demonstrated to pay off in less than 10 years if a loan is obtained at 10.5% interest. Calculations were made on the assumption that electricity costs 5 cents per kWh and water consumption averages 30 gallons per day (using current technology on an existing dwelling in Tennessee).
