Visualization of a Deterministic Radiation Transport Model Using Standard Visualization Tools

Description: Output from a deterministic radiation transport code running on a CRAY SV1 is imported into a standard distributed, parallel, visualization tool for analysis. Standard output files, consisting of tetrahedral meshes, are imported to the visualization tool through the creation of a application specific plug-in module. Experiences in the Performance Analysis and Optimization of a Deterministic Radiation Transport Code on the Cray SV1

Description: The Attila radiation transport code, which solves the Boltzmann neutron transport equation on three-dimensional unstructured tetrahedral meshes, was ported to a Cray SV1. Cray's performance analysis tools pointed to two subroutines that together accounted for 80%-90% of the total CPU time.
