Description: We have measured relative line intensities of the K x-ray spectra of Si, Cl, and Ca from laser-produced plasmas to assess their usefulness as a plasma diagnostic. Viscosity of brines from the Salton Sea Geothermal Field, Imperial Valley, California

Description: The viscosity of chemically analyzed brines from the Salton Sea Geothermal Field was measured from 5 to 90/sup 0/C at 100 kPa. Data indicate that these multicomponent solutions are slightly more viscous than a 3.5 molal NaCl solution in this temperature interval.
