A Virtual Engineering Framework for Simulating Advanced Power System

Description: In this report is described the work effort performed to provide NETL with VE-Suite based Virtual Engineering software and enhanced equipment models to support NETL's Advanced Process Engineering Co-simulation (APECS) framework for advanced power generation systems. Cyclone Boiler Field Testing of Advanced Layered NOx Control Technology in Sioux Unit 1

Description: A four week testing program was completed during this project to assess the ability of the combination of deep staging, Rich Reagent Injection (RRI), and Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) to reduce NOx emissions below 0.15 lb/MBtu in a cyclone fired boiler. Pilot-Scale Demonstration of ALTA for NOx Control in Pulverized Coal-Fired Boilers

Description: This report describes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and pilot-scale testing conducted to demonstrate the ability of the Advanced Layered Technology Approach (ALTA) to reduce NO{sub x} emissions in a pulverized coal (PC) boiler.
