Breeds of Beef Cattle

Description: "The question most frequently asked about cattle usually pertains to the breed which should be used in a certain community or under certain conditions. All breeds are not similar; some have superior points to others, and a certain breed may be better suited to conditions existing in one locality or one State than any other breed. For this reason it is well to find out which breed is best suited to local conditions, and to induce as many farmers as possible to raise that breed, because of the better prices which maybe secured from the sale of a uniform product and the ease with which suitable breeding stock may be obtained near home. Some information is presented herewith which will help to answer some of the questions which arise as to the value of the various breeds of cattle." -- title page
