Interface Control Document between the Double Shell Tanks (DST) System and T Plant

Description: This Interface Control Document (ICD) describes the interface between the Double-Shell Tank (DST) System and T Plant. T Plant generates waste during decontamination activities. These facilities do not have a direct physical interface since the waste will be moved by tank trailer to the 204-AR waste unloading facility. The purpose of the ICD process is to formalize working agreements between the River Protection Project (WP) DST System and organization/companies internal and external to RPP. This ICD has been developed as part of the requirements basis for design of the DST System to support the Phase I Privatization effort.

Assessment of the Electrical Power Requirements for Continued Safe Storage and Waste Feed Delivery Phase 1

Description: This study evaluated the ability of the electrical distribution system to support safe storage as well as the first phase of the Waste Feed Delivery. Several recommendations are made to improve the electrical system. The ability to assure adequate Waste Feed Delivery (WFD) to the Privatization Contractor's vitrification facility is a key element in the overall Hanford cleanup schedule. An important aspect of this WFD is the availability of sufficient and appropriate electrical power in the single- and double-shell tank farms. The methodology for performing this review and the results are described.

Nonradioactive Environmental Emissions Chemical Source Term for the Double Shell Tank (DST) Vapor Space During Waste Retrieval Operations

Description: A nonradioactive chemical vapor space source term for tanks on the Phase 1 and the extended Phase 1 delivery, storage, and disposal mission was determined. Operations modeled included mixer pump operation and DST waste transfers. Concentrations of ammonia, specific volatile organic compounds, and quantitative volumes of aerosols were estimated.

Interface Control Document Between the Double Shell Tanks (DST) System and the Plutonium Finishing Plan (PFP)

Description: This document identifies the requirements and responsibilities for all parties to support waste transfer from the Plutonium Finishing Plant (PFP) facility to the Double-Shell Tank (DST) System of the River Protection Project (RPP). This Interface Control Document (ICD) will not attempt to control the physical portion of this interface because the physical equipment making up this interface, and any associated interface requirements, are already in place, operational and governed by existing operating specifications and other documentation. The PFP and DST Systems have a direct physical interface (the waste transfer pipeline) that travels between the 241-2 Building (TK-D5) and DST SY-102 via 244-TX double-contained receiver tank (DCRT). The purpose of the ICD process is to formalize working agreements between the RPP DST System and organization/companies internal and external to RPP. This ICD has been developed as part of the requirements basis for design of the DST System to support the Phase I Privatization effort.

Interface Control Document Between the Tank Farm System and the Central Waste Complex (CWC) or the Low Level Burial Ground

Description: This Interface Control Document (ICD) describes the interface between the Tank Farm System and the Central Waste Complex (CWC) or the Low-Level Burial Ground (LLBG). The Tank Farm System generates solid waste during operations. These facilities do not have a direct physical interface since the waste will be moved by truck to the CWC or LLBG. The purpose of the ICD process is to formalize working agreements between the River Protection Project (RPP) Tank Farm System and organization/companies internal and external to RPP. This ICD has been developed as part of the requirements basis for design of the DST System to support the Phase I Privatization effort. The signatures on the cover page of this document indicate agreement between the parties that this document reflects the current technical baseline for each system and that the requirements contained in this document will not be revised without the agreement of all parties.

Test and Evaluation Plan for Waste Feed Delivery Project W-521

Description: The purpose of this Test and Evaluation Plan (TEP) is to identify the Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities required to confirm that design and installation of systems, structures, and components (SSCs) provided by Project W-521 will satisfy Level 2 and operational requirements, and to describe the T&E program to be implemented during the various project phases. This TEP establishes a sequence of test and evaluation activities to provide confidence that all required T&E activities will be accomplished successfully to support a smooth and timely turnover of completed SSCs to the River Protection Project (RPP) operations organization. In addition, organizational responsibilities for managing and performing the T&E activities are outlined. This TEP was prepared in accordance with the guidance and requirements of the RPP Test and Evaluation Management Plan. The Project W-521 TEP documents the process that will show that the SSCs are (1) compliant with the requirements of the Level 2 Specifications, (2) constructed in accordance with approved design drawings and procurement/construction specifications, (3) installed properly and appropriately integrated into the existing systems, and (4) will operate adequately on turnover to the customer.

Tank 241-C-106 waste retrieval sluicing system (WRSS) sluicer assembly test reports

Description: The sluicer test report documents the results of the Project W-320 factory testing conducted at the Olympic Tool and Engineering facility. Included are background information, test goals, a brief discussion on the sluicer hose problem, and conclusions.
