The strange meson resonances observed in the reaction K/sup -/p. -->. anti K/sup 0/. pi. /sup +/. pi. /sup -/n at 11 GeV/c

A model incorporating K* resonance contributions and simple backgrounds is shown to quantitatively reproduce the mass dependence of the partial wave amplitudes governing the production and decay of the anti K/sup 0/..pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/ system. A fit of this model to these amplitudes confirms the resonance interpretations of the well-established 1/sup +/ K/sub 1/(1400), the 2/sup +/ K/sub 2/*(1430), the 3/sup -/ K/sub 3/*(1780), and the less well-known 1/sup -/ states, the K*(1410) and the… more

Update on K* studies at SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center)

Results from the systematic study of K spectroscopy, by the LASS group, are reviewed. New data from the study of the reaction K{sup {minus}}p {yields} {bar K}{sup 0}{pi}{sup {minus}}p are presented, and compared to our previous results. J sup P = 1 sup minus radial excitations from LASS data

Strangeonium production from LASS

Results from recent studies of strangeonium mesons produced in the LASS spectrometer by an 11 GeV/c K{sup {minus}} beam are presented. Data fro new analyses of K*{bar K}*, {phi}{phi}, and {eta}{pi}{pi} final states are described. Evidence for. rho. sub 1 (1270) production in the reaction K sup minus p yields. pi. sup +. pi. sup minus. Lambda

Preliminary results are presented from an analysis of the {pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}} system produced in the reaction {Kappa}{sup {minus}}p {yields} {pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}} {Lambda} at 11 GeV/c observed with the LASS spectrometer at SLAC. A clear {rho} --{minus} {omega} interference effect is observed, and a fit to the natural parity exchange mass distribution yields a branching fraction estimate of (1.7 {plus minus} 0.5) % for the decay {omega} {yields}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}. Production of the. rho. sub 1 (1300) in the reaction K sup minus P yields. pi. sup +. pi. sup minus. Lambda. at 11 GeV/c

Results are presented from an analysis of the forward {pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}} system produced in the reaction K{sup {minus}} p {yields} {pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}} {Lambda} at 11 GeV/c observed with the LASS spectrometer at SLAC. An amplitude analysis analysis reveals that the bump in the mass distribution in the vicinity of the f{sub 2}(1270) actually contains a significant P-wave component.
