Semileptonic Form Factor ratio B_s->D_s/B->D and Its Application to BR(B^0_s->\mu^+\mu^-)

Description: We present a (2+1)-flavor lattice QCD calculation of the form factor ratio between the semileptonic decays {bar B}{sub s}{sup 0} {yields} D{sub s}{sup +}l{sup -}{bar {nu}} and {bar B}{sup 0} {yields} D{sup +}l{sup -}{bar {nu}}. This ratio is an important theoretical input to the hadronic determination of the B meson fragmentation fraction ratio f{sub s}/f{sub d} which enters in the measurement of BR(B{sub s}{sup 0} {yields} {mu}{sup +}{mu}{sup -}). B and D meson decay constants from 2+1 flavor improved staggered simulations

Description: We give an update on simulation results for the decay constants f{sub B}; f{sub B{sub s}}, f{sub D} and f{sub D{sub s}}. These decay constants are important for precision tests of the standard model, in particular entering as inputs to the global CKM unitarity triangle fit. The results presented here make use of the MILC (2+1)-flavor asqtad ensembles, with heavy quarks incorporated using the clover action with the Fermilab method. Description: The experimentally measured rates of the semileptonic decays K {yields} {pi}/{nu} and D {yields} K({pi})/{nu} can be combined with lattice calculations of the associated form factors to precisely extract the CKM matrix elements |V{sub us}| and |V{sub cs(d)}|. Charm Spectroscopy from B Factories

Description: A brief review of the excited D{sub s} and D mesons is presented. A precision measurement of the D{sub s1}(2536) mass and width parameters is reported by BABAR. Finally, a recent BABAR study of the D{pi} and D*{pi} final states shows first observations of the radial excitations of the D{sup 0}, D*{sup 0}, and D*{sup +}, as well as the L = 2 excited states of the D{sup 0} and D{sup +}, where L is the orbital angular momentum of the quarks.

D meson hadronic decays at CLEO-c

Description: The recent CLEO-c results on hadronic decays of D and D{sub s} mesons are presented. First the absolute branching fractions for D and D{sub s} mesons using a double tag technique are discussed, then are the Cabibbo suppressed decays and doubly Cabibbo suppressed decays. Measurement of the D_s Decay Constant f_Ds and Observation of New Charm Resonances Decaying to D^(*)\pi

Measurement of $D^0-overline{D}^0$ mixing parameters using $D^0 \to K_S^0 \pi^ \pi^-$ and $D^0 \to K_S^0 K^ K^-$ decays

Description: We report a direct measurement of D{sup 0}-{bar D}{sup 0} mixing parameters through a time-dependent amplitude analysis of the Dalitz plots of D{sup 0} {yields} K{sub S}{sup 0}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -} and, for the first time, D{sup 0} {yields} K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sup +}K{sup -} decays. Measurement of CP violation observables and parameters for the decays $B^{\pm}\to DK^{*\pm}$
