Development of deep drawn aluminum piston tanks

Description: An aluminum piston tank has been developed for applications requiring lightweight, low cost, low pressure, positive-expulsion liquid storage. The 3 liter (183 in{sup 3}) vessel is made primarily from aluminum sheet, using production forming and joining operations. Plasma spraying of beryllium and beryllium-aluminum-silver alloys

Description: A preliminary investigation on plasma-spraying of beryllium and a beryllium-aluminum 4% silver alloy was done at the Los Alamos National Laboratory`s Beryllium Atomization and Thermal Spray Facility (BATSF). Characteristics of a multicomponent Nb-Ti-Al alloy via industrial-scale practice

Description: Within the spectrum of advanced intermetallic materials, an alloy containing 44Nb-35Ti-6Al-5Cr-8V-1W-0.5Mo-0.3Hf (at. %) was investigated in the industrial-scale produced condition. The alloy was tensile tested in air from room temperature to 1,000 C and in vacuum at 750 and 850 C.
