National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Elko Quadrangle, Nevada and Utah

Description: From Introduction: "The Elko Quandrangle, in northeastern Nevada and western Utah between latitude 40º and 41º and longitude 114º and 116º (Fig. 1), was evaluated to identify geologic units and delineate areas that exhibit characteristics favorable for the occurrence of uranium deposits. Geologic environments were evaluated on the basis of surface investigations and limited subsurface data."

Stream Sediment Detailed Geochemical Survey for Marysvale, Utah

Description: From abstract: Results of the Marysvale detailed geochemical survey are reported. Field and laboratory data are presented for 397 stream sediment samples and 160 radiometric readings. Statistical and areal distributions of uranium and possible uranium-related variables are displayed. A generalized geologic map of the area is provided, and pertinent geologic factors which may be of significance in evaluating the potential for uranium mineralization are briefly discussed.

Reconnaissance for Uraniferous Rocks in Northwestern Colorado, Southwestern Wyoming, and Northeastern Utah

Description: The following report covers a reconnaissance for new discoveries of radioactive lignite deposits in the Green River Basin and Uinta Basin of Wyoming and Utah where similar discoveries to previous studies in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming were made. Additionally, there were new prospects examined, as well as reconnaissance for uranium deposits.
