Raft River condenser-tube examination

Review of the margins for ASME code fatigue design curve - effects of surface roughness and material variability.

Description: The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code provides rules for the construction of nuclear power plant components. The Code specifies fatigue design curves for structural materials. Direct Observations of Sigma Phase Formation in Duplex Stainless Steels using In Situ Synchrotron X-Ray Diffraction

Description: The formation and growth of sigma phase in 2205 duplex stainless steel was observed and measured in real time using synchrotron radiation during 10 hr isothermal heat treatments at temperatures between 700 C and 850 C. Modified Rate-Theory Predictions in Comparison to Microstructural Data
