Description: The problem of this study is to make a comparative analysis of the success, based on wages and increases in wages, of 209 students. There were 103 students who had completed Type "B" vocational training and 106 high school graduates who had not completed or taken Type "B" vocational training in the Houston Public Schools.

The Impact of Cultural Values and Perception of the Anglo-Dominant Curriculum on the Achievement of Mexican-American and Anglo-American Junior and Senior High School Students

Description: This study is concerned with the problem of determining whether there is a relationship between achievement and specific ethnic and profile characteristics of Anglo-American and Mexican-American junior and senior high school students who are enrolled in a large metropolitan public school district. The purposes include (a) delineation of demographic data on these students in terms of specific group membership, gender, age, and educational concerns; (b) identification of the attitudes and values of these students; (c) evaluation of the relationships between the demographic data and the degree to which ethnic membership and interpersonal concerns impact participation in the classroom.

Description: Pair of shoes of black patent leather and off-white translucent plastic(?). The shoes are designed with a gently pointed toe, in the spectator style. Toecap, heel, and edging of upper of black patent leather, the rest of the upper of an off-white translucent plastic with a woven texture. The edging along the upper is slightly scalloped, and the shoes are slingback style, with black patent leather straps around heels. The low heels taper to base. Description: Evening suit of amethyst acetate with gold braid, embroidery and beads. a) Jacket in a short fitted style with long sleeves. Collarless with gold lace trim around neckline, center front and hem. Hidden center front closure of 4 large, black fabric-covered snaps supplemented with 2 hook & eyes. Fabric is woven with gold threads in a scalloped design embellished on front panels with gold beads and large gold teardrops. Gold lace trim also around armholes.
