Description: The major purposes of this study were (1) to obtain information relating to the number and types of areas of work included in the routine duties performed by the maintenance employees employed in a selected group of Acme Brick Company production plants, (2) to determine the nature of any training that may have assisted in the development of their ability to perform the skills normally involved in each area of work, and (3) to recommend to Acme Brick Company areas of instruction to be included in a training program for its employees.

Description: This investigation has been concerned with determining the extent to which a small mammal, the cotton rat, may become acclimated to environmental temperatures, and the influence acclimation has upon a population. The study was also designed to determine if acclimation effects on a population can be seen in individual rats.

Description: In this study organisms that can be subcultured from lake water, using a prescribed procedure, limit, to an extent, the population, or portions of the population, that can be monitored. In essence, what is taking place is that a set of conditions is set forth and a study is made of the bacteria that will grow under these prescribed conditions.

The Effects of Hexadecanol on the Microbiota of Lake Hefner

Description: It seemed desirable to investigate more fully the effect of hexadecanol on the microbial population of a reservoir. It was the purpose of this investigation to determine the effect of hexadecanol on the micro-biota of Lake Hefner, to ascertain which organisms were stimulated by hexadecanol both in the laboratory and the reservoir, and to investigate the degradation of hexadecanol by microorganisms selected from Lake Hefner.

The International Summit on Indigenous Environmental Philosophy 2010

Description: This website contains information about the International Summit on Indigenous Environmental Philosophy 2010, celebrated in Redstone, Oklahoma and in the Dallas area in Texas. The International Summit on Indigenous Environmental Philosophy provided a forum for Indigenous thinkers from around the world to gather in a retreat setting to discuss how Indigenous Environmental Philosophy is distinct from Western Environmental Philosophy. The summit produced a consensus statement called the "Redstone Statement" and a statement of support from the Indigenous Youth of Redstone.

Archaeological Investigations at Four Sites Along Potapo Creek, McGee Creek Reservoir, Atoka County, Oklahoma

Description: This volume contains the results of excavations and analyses of Prehistoric archaeological data from four sites located along Potapo Creek in the northwestern part of the McGee Creek project area in southeastern Oklahoma. Some excavations yielded archaeological records of Early Caddoan occupation. Other excavations in the project yielded few artifacts, but important geological and environmental information.

Excavations at the Quince Site (34AT134) Atoka County, Oklahoma

Description: This volume presents findings from an excavation at the Quince Site of McGee Creek Reservoir project area. Excavations at the Quince Site disclosed deep alluvial deposits with several occupations throughout the Holocene Period. The site contains a well-preserved culturally stratified deposit dating from Paleoindian to Woodland Indian periods.
