Marimbágenes

Description: Recording of Teodoro Pedro Cromberg's Marimbágenes. This is a work for electronics that includes sound samples of the marimba. The name of the piece is a pun and impossible to translate into English; it can be understood as either "marimba's image" or "at the marimba's margins". The electroacoustic material in this piece was created in relation with visual images (gases, the sea, liguids). Virtual percussion was also used on the tape.

Arco Voltaico

Description: Recording of Teodoro Pedro Cromberg's Arco Voltaico. This is a work for electronics that was created for cellist, Andrea Espinzo. In this piece the cello has been integrated into the electroacoustic mix. Four improvised performances of the cello were taken by the analogical recorder and then used to create different mixtures for the final product.

Gritos y Gritarras

Description: Recording of Teodoro Pedro Cromberg's Gritos y Gritarras. This is a work for electronics that includes voice and guitar as well as sound samples from Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple songs. The composer has attempted to make these songs and motifs recognizable without compromising the independence of the electroacoustic piece itself. The title is a play on words that is untranslatable; "Gritarras" is a made-up word that means something like the cry of the guitar.

Flowing

Description: Recording of Michal Pawelek's Flowing. This is a work for electronics that includes 8 tracks for separate speakers as well as a stereo version. The entire work is based on choral sounds both real and synthetic, however the synthetic sounds have been made to preserve choral character. At the same time, original samples have been slightly modified to unify the whole piece.

Description: Recording of Laura Bianchini's Nell'aria o sulla terra?. This is a work for sound pipe, flute, and live electronics. It is based on the dialectic of alternation of two elements: earth and air, matter and spirit, breath and sound. The transformation of the coarse sound of the pipes to the well tuned sound of the flute is the result of a process obtained with electronic devices controlled by the performer and pre-recorded electronic sound sequences.

Monade 3

Description: Recording of Cesary Durchnowski's "Monada 3". Based off of a cycle of monads, the composition reaches for new qualities in music. Instrumentation includes voice, piano, and computer. This composition was composed in 2003 in the Experimental Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw, the Computer-Aided Composition Studio of the Music Academy in Wroclaw and in the composer's own studio. The final recording was produced in April 2004 in the Experimental Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw.
