Aerial Gamma-Ray and Magnetic Survey of the Bethel and Yukon Areas, Alaska: Final Report, Volume 1

Description: Report describing a high-sensitivity aerial gamma-ray spectrometer and magnetometer survey conducted in the lower Yukon River and Kuskokwim River areas of southwestern Alaska (covering fifteen quadrangles) and in the middle Yukon River valley in Interior Alaska (covering eight quadrangles) as part of the National Uranium Resource Evaluation (NURE) Program of the United States Energy Research and Development Administration (ERDA). This program provides information on reconnaissance radioelement distribution to assist in assessing the uraniferous material potential in the United States. The analysis includes medium values of eU, eTh, and K (equivalent uranium, thorium, and potassium) contents of geological units.

Aerial Gamma-Ray and Magnetic Survey of the Delta Area--Utah: Final Report, Volume 1

Description: From abstract: Results of an ERDA-sponsored, high-sensitivity, airborne gamma-ray spectrometer and magnetometer survey of a portion of the Delta, Utah, NTMS, 1:250,000 scale quadrangle, carried out under Bendix Field Engineering Corporation Subcontract 76-019-L are discussed. The objective of the survey was to evaluate the Delta area as a uraniferous province, i.e., a region showing surface indications of a generally higher uranium content, and evidence of geochemical uranium enrichment over the other natural radioactive elements, where detailed exploration for uranium would likely be successful. The known presence of late stage Tertiary rhyolites and granites associated with fluorite and uranium occurrences and one productive uranium mine strongly suggested that the area is such a uraniferous province. A DC-3 aircraft equipped with a gamma-ray spectrometer using nine large-volume NaI detectors, two 400 channel analyzers, and ancillary geophysical and electronic equipment was employed for data collection.

Aerial Gamma Ray and Magnetic Survey, Raton Basin Project, The Flagstaff Quadrangle of Arizona: Final Report, Volume 1

Description: From Operations: For the Flagstaff quadrangle, a total of 1930 line miles, excluding reflights and overlaps and missing data were flown by the Tracker and 1348 line miles were flown by the helicopter. The production summary presented below and the detailed daily production in Appendix B describes half of the total project. The Raton Basin Project, of which this quadrangle is a part, covered five other 10 x 2 quadrangles which was or will be covered in separate reports.

Aerial Gamma Ray and Magnetic Survey, Raton Basin Project, The Shiprock & Gallup Quadrangles of Arizona/New Mexico and Albuquerque Quadrangle, New Mexico: Final Report, Volume 1

Description: From introduction: This final report .is organized in two logical sections: (a) Volume I, containing the survey description, specifications, data processing methods, interpretation methods, regional geologic review and regional survey results and (b) one volume, Volume II, for each of the three quadrangles covered by the Raton Basin Project Area. Each Volume II contains a detailed geologic summary, interpretation report, standard deviation maps, pseudo-contour maps, interpretation map, flight line and geologic base map, individual corrected profiles, computer map unit histograms and statistical tables.
