Condition Survey: Forbes Air Force Base, Kansas

Description: "The purpose of this report is to present the results of a condition survey performed at Forbes Air Force Base (FAFB), Kansas, during 1-6 May 1972. The three major areas of interest considered in this condition survey were the structural condition of the primary airfield pavements, the condition of pavement repairs and the types of maintenance materials that have been used at this airfield, and any evidence of detrimental effects of frost action to the pavement facilities" (p. 1).

Vibroseismic Survey, Railroad Test Embankment, Aikman, Kansas

Description: Report regarding refraction seismic and vibratory tests conducted on a railroad test embankment near Aikman, Kansas as well as attenuation and dynamic laboratory tests. The refraction seismic tests indicated the existence of two distinct velocity zones, one for the embankment and one for the underlying limestone bedrock.
