This report is the first of a series of quarterly progress reports for the Coal-Fired Alkali Metal Power System Design Study. The primary effort during this period was the compilation of physical and thermodynamic properties of potassium and cesium, the analysis of a series of potassium and cesium turbine designs and the determination of the cycle efficiency for both fluids for a variety of operating conditions.
