Headband

Description: Headband of black felt draped and decorated with brightly multicolored plaid silk taffeta. Loop of plaid fabric in front held by large brass hatpin with head of three branches of three leaves each. Ends of fabric tie in back with hanging, frayed ends. Designer's label: "Paris 420 Rue St. Honoré / Erik / Londres" Label above designer's label: "Made in France"

Headband

Description: Headband of navy blue net. The headband is formed as a wide, long rectangle of navy blue mesh which is worn across head, on forehead and low at back, tied with dark navy blue velvet ribbon ties. No labels.

Description: Headpiece. Turban-like ring or headband of olive green rayon with a central horizontal band of twisted fabric with single large knot. Bordered all the way around at top and bottom by two layers of the same fabric, pleated and scalloped. Designer's label sewn inside: "Zandra Rhodes / London", with hand-written notes: "100% Rayon / England".

Headpiece

Description: Headpiece, possibly for a wedding. The headpiece is formed as a "butterfly" shaped wired under-structure covered with white velvet, curved to fit the wearer across the top of the head from ear to ear. The "wings" of the butterfly are covered with a wide white mesh, and on each side is a large artificial flower of white taffeta and white velvet, with green velvet leaves with rhinestones. Some remains of beige veiling. No labels or tags.

Description: Headpiece of black satin. Headpiece formed as an openwork braided cylinder made of three thick black satin segments. Black grosgrain ribbon inner band, to which is sewn a brown plastic comb to help fasten hat to wearer's head. No labels.

Headpiece

Description: Headpiece of chicken wire, sequins, and beads. The bandeau or tiara form has a base of curved metal fitting across the wearer's head, on top of which is a segment of chicken wire which is embellished with sequins, glittery material, beads, and one small rhinestone brooch at center.

Headpiece

Description: Headpiece of moderately muted red orange velour. The covered wire bandeau is designed to be worn over head, encircling ears, and has about thirty velour loops accented with eight randomly tied dangling pendants. Each pendant consists of three silver-colored globular beads and three silver oval beads and one larger white opaque globular glass bead at the end of each pendant. Donor stated that the piece had been worn by the Russian ballet dancer, Anna Pavlova.

Description: Headpiece of off-white satin. Designed as an open oval ring, the headpiece is made of a 1 inch wide stuffed headring overlaid with a veil of black net with embroidered floral forms. The veil extends down at front, and is gathered at sides. Retailer's label: "Neiman-Marcus"
